It’s been a lot to take in as we have gone from living in 3000+ square feet of house to downsizing to 300 square feet of RV 5th wheel. For me the down sizing was the hardest part so far! Do I keep it and pay the storage fee or do I give it away and re-buy in a year or maybe more…? That said, the good byes were hard but I expect to be back to SOMD to visit.
On to new adventures! Having departed MD we have stopped in NC for 1 night. I love pull through spaces!! WE stopped north of Augusta GA for 3 nights and got to hang out with my youngest brother Matt. That was wonderful. The campground was owned by the Army Corp of Engineers (ACOE) and was beautifully maintained. We will go back if given the chance.

We then went to Ft. McAllister just south of Savannah GA. Another beautiful location. Although when we got there, we were both wondering about our sanity; the GA swamps are HUMMID and BUGGY! It worked out though because there was a storm blowing in and that drove the bugs out! We got lucky and the rain part of the storm stayed just south of us for many more hours than we expected. Now we are in JAX FL until late March. The campground is very nice, though a bit tight on space.
I did receive a surprise upon arrival at the FL campground. Having arrived about 15 minutes ahead of JP, I checked in. (Note: Currently I am still driving my minivan and JP is driving Ruby with Silver in tow. That will change later in the month.) The check in lady then said, ”Just have your husband stop here at check in and we will have a campground host direct him into the space.” What a gift!! I did not have to direct the backing and mooring of Silver! I’m not very good at it yet and it gives me great anxiety trying to communicate what I am seeing and what JP is hearing and able to control. The reason for the visit to Jacksonville is to visit with Kate and Eric. So far (24 hours+) we’ve had dinner and drinks with them and helped out with clearing stuff from the garage. Points for the parents! Plus, I get to hang out with some very dear friends as well!
Yay, winner parents! Please hug Kate & Eric for me, and enjoy FL for a while!💜💜💜
